Captain Ray Whitfield is a life-long Bay County resident and has been involved with the fishing industry most of his life. He began commercial fishing with his father and grandfather around age 13, during the summers, and owned his own boat by age 16. The last two decades of his life have been spent building and servicing Sportfishing Yachts, and running boats and fishing trips for individual owners. Capt. Ray has spent many years and countless hours of time building reefs for bottom fishing, trolling oilrigs for BIG tuna and navigating the "Blue water" of the Gulf of Mexico to catch the infamous Blue Marlin. He has competed in many Gulf Coast billfish tournaments over the years with much success. Now he is looking forward to taking you fishing on his 31ft. Cape Horn Sportfishing Boat. If you are interested in catching Red or Black Snapper, Black or Red Grouper, Scamp, Kingfish, Tuna, Wahoo, Bull Dolphin or Marlin offshore and Cobia (a.k.a. Ling or Lemon Fish), King Mackeral and Redfish inshore, then this is the boat for you. There are several trip packages to choose from. This boat can take up to six fishing passengers. Fishing license, bait and tackle provided. Please bring your own food and drink.
